This month Rotary Club of the Cedar Valley is partnering with the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. Now through August 8th, we will be collecting donations for personal care items such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper. You can bring items, or money for this collection. Donations can be brought to the club meetings or can be dropped off at Cynthia's house.
Don't forget, we are volunteering at the food bank tomorrow night.
Do you need to order a Rotary Club of Cedar Valley polo or t-shirt?
They will arrive right side up! Members are able to order a Nike polo, or t-shirt to wear at service projects and around town. Each polo is $38 and t-shirts are $10. You can email Mike Reyhons with your order. We will coordinate invoicing once you place your order.

What you missed last week:
Jeff Frost joined us from the Waterloo Career Center to tell us about what they do for high school students from all over the Cedar Valley and surrounding areas. The Center provides free course work in 18 different program areas, allowing students to receive college credit while still in high school and work towards their AA degree, and even beyond that. Students are able to find their passion and engage in a variety of areas to find their niche within their chosen fields, as well. They learn from professionals in their chosen field and can receive assistance with program essentials and transportation. We thank Jeff for joining us and for his dedication to setting area teens up for success!
Rotary is not just a club you join. It is an invitation to endless opportunities. It opens opportunities to serve in a project as big and historic as End Polio Now and also in a small community project, where you just plant a tree. It opens opportunities for you to live a richer, more meaningful life, with friends around the world, based on our core values. Everything we do opens another opportunity for someone, somewhere.
The 2020-2021 theme is: Rotary Opens Opportunities.
