This week, we will hear from Cathy Showalter, CEO of the Otto Schoitz Foundation. The mission of Otto Schoitz Foundation is to improve the health and wellbeing of the Cedar Valley community and its individual members by funding grants.

We will be holding two membership drives this month. On April 22nd, we will meet at Ari'z Supper Club and Martini Bar in Waterloo. On April 29th, we will be meeting at Tony's in Cedar Falls. Bring friends and let them learn what our club is all about while enjoying some light appetizers.
APRIL SERVICE
LETTERS TO VETERANS
For our April service project, we will be writing letters to two veterans who will be participating in the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight in May. Our goal is to help create a truly memorable and personal experience for each of them.
During the flight home, the veterans will experience a special “Mail Call,” where they receive letters from family, friends, and members of the community. These letters are often very meaningful and become cherished keepsakes. Our hope is for each veteran to receive at least 5–10 heartfelt letters.
Address your letter personally to either Ken or Lee
Share your gratitude and appreciation for their service
Feel free to include a personal message, encouragement, or reflection
Letters must be handwritten & no larger than 8.5"x11"
Please return all letters to Jen Bainbridge no later than Wednesday, April 22nd.
You can sign up to write letters via the SignUp that was emailed to members on March 30th, 2026.
