We will hear from Dr. Jared Smith, Superintendent of the Waterloo Schools, and hear about Waterloo's One School project.
BOARD MEETING
We will have a board meeting after our regular meeting this week.
ORANGE SCHOOL VOLUNTEER SERVICE
The Orange Elementary Parent Association is looking for volunteers to support their family fun night where Orange Elementary students can enjoy games and activities with their friends and families. The family fun night is Friday May 9th from 5:30-8:00 pm at the Cedar Valley Sportsplex. They need to fill 8-10 spots for each shift.
The parent in charge of setting this up is a member of Leader Valley. Leader Valley is letting us into their annual golf tournament for free to promote our PuttPutt for a Purpose event.
Please sign up via the email that was sent on April 18th.
FLAG PLANTING
Our Rotary group is signed up to place flags at Veteran graves at the Garden of Memories Cemetary, 3669 Logan Ave in Waterloo on Wednesday, May 21st at 5:00 pm. If you are available to volunteer, please respond to the Sign up Genius email sent on May 1st.
Let's continue to achieve Every Rotarian Every Year status. Past Foundation chair, Eashaan Vajpeyi developed a new way to donate to help make this easier for members. There is now a link on our website and you will receive a text reminder from time to time with the link. You can also click the link below to donate directly from the newsletter! Thank you Eashaan for making this possible!
Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick celebrates the magic of Rotary. She says members create that magic with every project completed, every dollar donated, and every new member of Rotary.
