What you missed last week:
Todd Holcomb, the president of Hawkeye Community College and Fellow Rotarian joined us to share how Hawkeye is moving forward with innovation, flexibility, and patience. The fully online model the school adapted in March has transitioned to a hybrid model where students are online 50% of the time and learning in person 50% of the time. They are adhering to guidelines and clearly posting directives to students to wash hands, social distance, and wear masks. Their student health clinic and free dental clinic are also again open for students. He also shared updates on the school's remodel of Grundy Hall which will serve as the school's science and health sciences wing. We thank Todd for Zooming in to speak with us!
