Cassandra Jakoubek joined us to talk to us about Girl's Wrestling in Iowa. She is a Waterloo Police Officer, and was the first female ever to win a match at the Iowa High State Tournament, as well as competing successfully in numerous other competitions. She is a 2014 graduate of Cedar Falls High School . Cassie now coaches High School Wrestling with a goal of continuing to grow the program, and to see the girls she coaches learn from her experiences to overcome adversity, and become stronger mentally and physically. She hopes that the program will also become a sanctioned sport in Iowa. We thank her for sharing her story with us and for taking all our questions!
