The board is keeping an eye on all that is happening with
COVID-19 and will make adjustments to the meetings as needed.
This Week:
Dad's Pub
1106 La Porte Rd, Waterloo
We had planned to visit Lark Brewing this week, but in a Facebook post last week they shared that they have had to temporarily close due to a COVID exposure. The word of 2020 is pivot and that is what the Program Committee did. We will now gather at Dad's Pub, the old Vick's, for fellowship and fun before the holiday.

Rotary isn't just what happens on Wednesday evening. You BELONG even if you can't participate right now.
You BELONG when you act fairly, speak truthfully, and build relationships at work and at home. You BELONG when you help your neighbor, give generously, and act selflessly. Reach out to a fellow Rotarian this week and remind them our club is great because they BELONG.
Service opportunity. Holiday Hoopla CF. Traffic controllers.
traffic volunteers for Friday, Nov 27 from 5:30 to 8:30! We expect a huge amount of cars to drive through the Hoopla cruise and need people at the street closures to keep traffic flowing without interruptions!
This past week Robin Summers joined us from Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. She shared with us how Girl Scouts provides girls in Kindergarten and Twelfth grade invaluable experiences for recreation, connection, life skills, leadership, and entrepreneurship. They have had to make some adaptations this year due to the pandemic, but have provided camp kits to girls, virtual and in person meetings, and have worked with some schools so that the program can be provided during the day. Girl Scouts also does community outreach and provides financial assistance to girls who have barriers to participation . We thank Robin for her presentation and for what she does to provide valuable experiences to girls in our community.
Rotary is not just a club you join. It is an invitation to endless opportunities. It opens opportunities to serve in a project as big and historic as End Polio Now and also in a small community project, where you just plant a tree. It opens opportunities for you to live a richer, more meaningful life, with friends around the world, based on our core values. Everything we do opens another opportunity for someone, somewhere.
The 2020-2021 theme is: Rotary Opens Opportunities.
