As part of  Marching with Veterans, we would like to highlight the stories of veterans and service personnel associated with our club.
Please send your stories and a photo to Wendy Bowman at Wknapp9@gmail.com.  Please ask your family member for their permission.

LAST CALL TO DONATE:
Other ways to participate in Marching with Veterans service project:

Are you interested in leading our club into the future?

We are currently looking for Rotarians to take on leadership roles for the 2021-2022 Rotary year.  There are Board positions that will be opening up and you could be the right person for the job!  Please contact Tom Marquez or Cynthia Gitta if you are interested, or would like more details.

What you missed last week:
Last week we heard from our own Mrs. America contender , Glynnis Worthington. She shared a little about what inspired her to compete and how she gets all her clothes from Goodwill! She primarily focused on our "Marching For Veterans" project and shared with us her experiences as a military mom. All 4 of her and Wayne's children are in the military with a combined 25 service years between them .  She attributes their desire to serve and extraordinary achievements both personal and military to the fact the family was always together and always cultivated as a team , and to the ongoing influence in their lives of their grandparents. She also spoke of focusing on their intellectual achievements and intrinsic rewards over physical ones , and on the power of choices. We thank Glynis for speaking with us and congratulate her on her accomplishments competing for Mrs. America and on the fact she and Wayne will soon be grandparents!

Rotary Opens Opportunities
Rotary is not just a club you join. It is an invitation to endless opportunities. It opens opportunities to serve in a project as big and historic as End Polio Now and also in a small community project, where you just plant a tree. It opens opportunities for you to live a richer, more meaningful life, with friends around the world, based on our core values. Everything we do opens another opportunity for someone, somewhere.
The 2020-2021 theme is: Rotary Opens Opportunities.
