APRIL SERVICE
BIG WOODS SPRING CLEAN-UP
Rain or shine! The City of CF is providing gloves and bags for outdoor clean-up as part of EARTH WEEK. We are planning to clean-up around Big Woods Lake in Cedar Falls on Saturday, April 26th from 10am-12pm. Sign up via email sent on April 10th.
Plan to wear long pants, closed toe shoes, long sleeve shirt, and hat if preferred. We will have gloves available but bring your own if you have a specific preference. We will have a few areas to dig up some tires. If you have a shovel you can bring then we'd appreciate it!
Wendy will set up the focus areas for cleaning. We will meet at her house: 1410 Big Woods Road in Cedar Falls. Wendy also will host a low-key social afterwards and provide brats. BYOB.
NEED NOMINEES FOR RYLA Our club would like to sponsor a student to attend the week-long RYLA Leadership Conference in July at Grinell College. If you know a high-schooler that would be interested in applying, have them apply at https://www.iowaryla.org/
Let's continue to achieve Every Rotarian Every Year status. Past Foundation chair, Eashaan Vajpeyi developed a new way to donate to help make this easier for members. There is now a link on our website and you will receive a text reminder from time to time with the link. You can also click the link below to donate directly from the newsletter! Thank you Eashaan for making this possible!
Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick celebrates the magic of Rotary. She says members create that magic with every project completed, every dollar donated, and every new member of Rotary.
